A message from the Head Teacher
Assalamualaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu,
We hope this message finds you in the best of Health and Imaan.
Madrassah at Taqwa, is a supplementary educational establishment that aims to nurture children with Islamic teachings primarily from the age of 5 to 16. Our syllabus covers a wide range of subjects, from the recitation of the Noble Qur’an to Ahadith (sayings) of the Prophet Muhammad Sallahu Alayhi Wassalam.
Our aim is that each child is equipped with the teachings of Islam that would enable them to become ideal Muslims and model citizens by practicing on the golden principles of Islam. Thus, enabling them to contribute not only to the Muslim community but to humanity at large.

Admissions

Please Note:
- There is a waiting list for both of our shifts with an approximate wait of 6 months*
- Only applicants aged 6 and over are accepted
- Applicants 10+ for girls and 13+ for boys will not be accepted
- We are NOT able to accommodate early finishing times for students and/or attending less than 5 days a week due to outside commitments
- All new applicants will be placed on a 2 week trial following a 1 to 1 report with the parents. The conclusion of the report will determine if the child has been granted a space in Madrassah at Taqwa
We have 7 classes in each shift for Boys and 2 classes in each shift for Girls with a total of 18 classes running each day

Madrassah Timings
1st Shift – 5pm to 6:30pm
2nd Shift – 6:30pm to 8pm
Hifz class – 5pm to 8pm
Advanced class (Mon, Weds, Thurs 7pm to 9pm)
Syllabus
The Madrasah syllabus covers a wide range of subjects that are essential and directly related to the spiritual and moral development of young children.
Students through all our age groups study Gift for Muslims and A Child’s Gift. Both books cover the entire basic syllabus a child will need through their time here at Masjid at Taqwa.
Students age 15+ (advanced class) study a collection of books compiled by Mufti Saif ul Islam of JKN Institute and provide a comprehensive study of the Islamic Sciences which enhances the students’ basic Islamic knowledge learnt through the early years.
Each subject is delivered in an engaging manner and are age appropriate, utilising workbooks and resources produced by leading publishers of Islamic education. The following subjects are taught at the Madrassah
Tahfeez al Qur’an (memorisation of the Noble Qur’an; complete and/or core portions)
Fiqh (Jurisprudence)
Sirah (Life of the Beloved Prophet Muhammad Sallahu Alayhi Wassalam)
Ahadith (Sayings of the Beloved Prophet Muhammad Sallahu Alayhi Wassalam)
Memorisation of Ad’iyah (Supplications) from the Noble Qur’an and Ahadith
Tarikh (Islamic History)
Aqaid (Beliefs)
Akhlaq (Manners)
Aadaab (Ettiquettes)

Fees
Standard class fees amounts to 4 quarterly payments of £100 per student
Hafiz class fees amounts to 4 quarterly payments of £200 per student
Advanced Sanatayn class fees amounts to £25 per month per student
- We are able to offer a 10% discount for each child with parents who have more than one child attending our Madrassah (Hifz class and Advanced class excluded)
- We are also able to offer bursaries for those eligible. If you feel this is the case for you, get in touch
- Fees is a fixed rate and regardless of holidays and absences, fees must still be paid in full
- We only accept direct debit or standing order which must be set on the 1st of every 3 months
