Delete Account & Personal Data
This page provides the official method for users of the Masjid At-Taqwa Mobile Application (Package: uk.co.masjidattaqwa.app) to permanently delete their account and associated personal data from our servers.

Delete your account directly via web without needing the app installed.
Alternative: How to Delete In-App
If you currently have the Masjid At-Taqwa mobile application installed on your device, you can also delete your account instantly from within the app:
- Open the Masjid At-Taqwa application on your mobile device.
- Tap on More or tap your Profile Avatar in the top corner.
- Select Settings → scroll to Account.
- Tap the red "Delete Account" button.
- Confirm the final warning dialog. Your account and stored records will be wiped immediately.
Important Deletion Notice
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once deleted, your login credentials will be invalidated, and you will not be able to recover your saved Quran bookmarks, personal dhikr progress, or notification history.
Personal Data That Will Be Deleted
Upon account deletion, all of the following data is purged permanently from our active database:
- •User Profile: Name, username, email address, password hash, date of birth, gender, and custom avatar.
- •Quran & Worship: Saved Ayah bookmarks, favourite verses, and recitation preferences.
- •Dhikr & Tasbih: Personal dhikr counters, daily targets, and session history.
- •Qaza Tracker: Missed prayer tracker counts and calculation logs.
- •Notifications: Push notification tokens, message logs, and achievement badges.
Financial Records Retained by Law
If you made financial donations (such as Sadaqah, Lillah, or Fitrana via Stripe/Card), basic transaction receipts are retained for up to 6 years.
Legal Justification: This is strictly required by the UK Charity Commission, HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) for Gift Aid audits, and statutory anti-fraud compliance under UK law. These records are archived securely and never used for marketing.
